Mark Bula is a steel industry veteran with more than three decades of experience across the US, Europe, and the Middle East.

He held a leadership role early on in his career at Nucor, which is recognised as one of the most successful turnaround stories in the history of American steel.

Mark also served as a founding executive and Chief Commercial Officer at Big River Steel, which disrupted the US steel industry by operating the world’s first “flex mill”, combining mini-mill technology with the ability to produce high-end automotive and electrical steels.

Prior to joining Blastr, Antti spent nearly two decades at Fortum, where he held several senior leadership positions covering industrial electrification, strategy, research and development, generation, and energy markets. In his most recent role as Vice President of Industrial Electrification, he worked closely with energy-intensive industries to advance decarbonisation and large-scale sustainable energy solutions.

Throughout his career, Antti has been involved in strategic development, infrastructure planning, stakeholder engagement, and industrial transformation projects across the Nordic energy sector. He has close to 20 years of international experience across metallurgy, steelmaking technologies, and industrial decarbonisation. Prior to joining Blastr, Mikael worked as Technology Specialist at AFRY, supporting the development and due diligence of low-carbon steel projects globally. Before that, he held senior project and research positions at SSAB and Swerim, where he contributed to hydrogen-based steelmaking pilots and advanced metallurgical research programmes.

Mikael combines deep technical expertise with extensive experience in pilot, demonstration, and industrial-scale project execution. His work has focused on advancing next-generation steelmaking technologies, recycling solutions, and fossil-free production pathways for the global metals industry.

She also held leadership positions with KPMG South Africa and worked extensively across emerging markets, mobilising significant investment into renewable energy and green economy initiatives.

Carina combines financial, operational, and sustainability expertise with broad international leadership experience. Earlier in her career, she held senior finance and advisory roles within industry and public sector organisations, including the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.

During her tenure, she built deep expertise across financial control, treasury management, systems development and strategic project delivery within a complex global shipping business.

As CFO, she was responsible for finance, IT and corporate secretarial functions across multiple jurisdictions, including Singapore, the UK and South Africa. She led financial reporting to the Board and Audit and Risk Committee, managed NASDAQ and JSE listing and compliance requirements, and oversaw group-wide treasury, governance and ESG reporting initiatives. She also played a key role in negotiating and managing complex financing structures, including bank debt, mezzanine facilities and sale-and-leaseback arrangements with international financial partners.

Debbie has extensive experience in leading cross-functional strategic projects and driving operational discipline and financial performance across international teams.

His roles included Owners’ Representative and Senior Vice President at Hydro Aluminium from 2021 to 2025, Chief Operations Officer of Qatalum in Qatar, and Senior Vice President for Hydro’s fully owned smelters globally. Throughout his career, Olaf has led large-scale industrial operations, business transformations, operational turnarounds, and major efficiency and quality improvement programs across multiple international facilities.

His leadership experience includes Managing Director and Plant Manager roles for Hydro operations in Norway, Germany and the automotive sector, as well as Plant Director for Alcan Sebree Smelter in Kentucky, USA. He was also engaged in China in establishing a car parts manufacturing company in Suzhou, Shanghai. Earlier in his career, he held several senior engineering and construction management positions within the offshore industry, contributing to major North Sea and Gulf of Mexico platform developments including Gullfaks, Veslefrikk, Draugen and Heidrun.

Tore Ivar has worked extensively with industrial groups, investors, and leadership teams to develop projects from concept through execution, combining strategic vision with deep commercial and operational insight. He is recognised for his ability to identify emerging industrial opportunities and establish partnerships that accelerate innovation and industrial transformation at scale.

As both an owner and strategic contributor at BGS, Tore Ivar brings broad industrial, commercial, and investment expertise as the company develops a fully integrated ultra-low CO₂ steel value chain designed to support Europe’s transition to more sustainable industrial production.

He holds a Master of Management degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he specialised in strategy, finance, economics, and international business.

As both an owner and strategic contributor at BGS, Tore Ivar brings broad industrial, commercial, and investment expertise as the company develops a fully integrated ultra-low CO₂ steel value chain designed to support Europe’s transition to more sustainable industrial production.

He holds a Master of Management degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he specialised in strategy, finance, economics, and international business.

Einar Kilde

Board Member

Einar Kilde is an experienced industrial executive and project leader with more than 40 years of international leadership experience across the oil and gas, renewable energy, power and industrial sectors. He has a strong track record of building organisations and delivering large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects internationally, including project portfolios with budgets of up to NOK 56 billion.

Throughout his career, Einar has led major capital programmes within oil and gas, solar, hydropower, rail and battery manufacturing across Norway, the United States, Singapore and Malaysia, including extensive collaboration with Chinese contractors and suppliers.

He has held senior executive positions in several multinational companies, including FREYR Battery, T1 Energy, REC Solar, Sarawak Energy, Bane NOR and Norsk Hydro. His roles have included COO, EVP and Chief Development Officer, with responsibilities spanning project development, industrial operations, manufacturing and organisational development for large-scale production facilities.

At REC Solar, he led wafer manufacturing operations in Norway and Singapore, while at FREYR Battery and T1 Energy he played a key role in developing battery and solar manufacturing projects from concept through execution and operational ramp-up in both Europe and the United States.

Earlier in his career, Einar held senior project development and operational leadership roles within Norsk Hydro, including responsibility for major oil and gas developments such as Ormen Lange, Troll, Tune and Visund, and was involved in the Statoil Hydro integration within the Projects business area.

Einar has extensive board and governance experience, including serving as Chairman of 4Subsea. He has also held board positions within the Norwegian Ski Federation, Nui (owned by Hydro and Statoil), and Installit.

He holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
